How do you submit an eye catching, outstanding application and stand out from the crowd to secure that grant?
*We’re afraid that this event is now full. However, if you want to be added to the waiting list, please ‘book’ a place below to be automatically added. We’re hoping to rerun this training session in the new year and those who add themselves to the waiting list will be given priority for securing a place when new dates are available.
The National Lottery Community Fund will open its doors on a new round of Reaching Communities funding in early December.
Competition for funding will be tough as applications are now open to wider community projects that, while not Covid-19 specific, need to show an awareness of how Covid-19 has affected their working practices.*
Our funding expert, Nicky Smith, will talk you through the criteria for the new Reaching Communities funding programme and the application process. She will be joined by National Lottery Community Fund funding officer, Paul Varney, to answer your questions.
*Please be aware that criteria for grant content may change.
This Zoom workshop will help you present your organisation and submit a high quality funding application.
At the end of the session you will:
• have a greater knowledge and understanding of lottery funding.
• increase your chances of securing a lottery grant.
The workshop will be a mix of presentation and Q&A session with breaks. This is a great chance to have your questions about the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund answered.
Who should attend
If you’re a voluntary or community organisation seeking project funding above £10,000 and you want your application to be successful, this is the workshop for you.
What will you learn
Nicky will take you through the steps to submitting a strong Reaching Communities submission to help you increase your success rate. She will help you:
- Understand what organisations and projects can be funded
- Understand how applications are assessed
- Learn the common reasons for rejection
- Understand outcomes and indicators for your project
- How to effectively consult beneficiaries to develop your project
- How to ensure your project is properly costed.
Pose your question to a NLCF Grants Officer
This is a great opportunity to hear it from the ‘horse’s mouth’ as you’ll be able to pose your question to Ellen Cross, National Lottery Community Fund Grants Officer.
We are asking that you pose generic questions during the Q&A session to keep the discussion relevant to the whole group.
Nicky Smith has 16 years’ experience as a funding advisor, securing over £6million for hundreds of voluntary organisations including village halls, play areas, health and social care groups and youth clubs across North Yorkshire.
