As well as seeing an amazing volunteer set-up in action, we’ll explore how our network members can work together to create a volunteering culture where people feel empowered, heard, and invested – not just as helpers but as equal partners in driving change.
A Community First Yorkshire event
Volunteer Co-ordinators Network Meeting
For this year’s Volunteers’ Week, we will be celebrating the amazing impact that volunteers have at our June meeting at Colburn Hub and Community Café.
During the session, we’ll hear about the fantastic work the hub and café are doing locally – their successes, the challenges they face, and the difference they’re making in the community.
We will also be exploring a key theme of the Vision for Volunteering: Power. This theme is about giving communities and volunteers more control, recognising their experience, and encouraging shared decision-making – moving away from a top-down approach.
