Treasurer Essentials: Cash Flow and Budgeting

Event aims

Are you responsible for the cash flow and budgeting of your charity? Concerns over financial pressures are causing many charities in North Yorkshire to feel uncertain about their future. The treasurer has an essential role in leading financial matters.

This live, interactive workshop provides an overview of the role of budgeting and managing cash flow in your charity or group.

Delivered over Zoom.

Who should attend 

This workshop is designed for treasurers or others with an interest in financial management. It is also suitable for those interested in taking on the role of treasurer.

Please note this training event is currently only available to organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What will you learn?

This training session aims to:

  • Look at why you need a budget
  • Explain how to prepare budgets and make informed budgeting decisions
  • Explain how to prepare a cash flow and how to use it in budgeting and forecasting
  • Determine the best way to report financial information to your different audiences

This will also be an opportunity to network with other trustees from across North Yorkshire.

Trainer

This training will be delivered by a skilled, experienced trainer from West Yorkshire Community Accounting Services (WYCAs). Your trainer will bring in-depth understanding of the voluntary, charity and community sector. WYCAS provide financial management training and accounting services within the voluntary and community sector.

Refunds

Attendees can receive refunds for cancellations up to 7 days before the event date.

Please note that non-attendance on training you have booked on will require the full payment, this also applies to bursary and funded places. This is to allow as many participants as possible to access our training. See our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Cost

This event is free to organisations in North Yorkshire with an income of up to £5k thanks to funding from North Yorkshire County Council.

Places for other organisations are £24 each (£20 +VAT).
