Supporting the wellbeing of you and your volunteers

Event aims

The importance of prioritising your wellbeing and the wellbeing of your volunteers has become paramount over the past 12 months. This training will provide practical solutions and actions you can put in place to help you avoid burnout.

This live, interactive workshop will be delivered over Zoom.

Who should attend?

This training is for staff and trustees working in charities and community groups across North Yorkshire and will be of particular benefit to those who have co-ordinated volunteers in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

What will you learn?

This training will enable participants to:
• Experience self-compassion practices.
• Develop clear next steps to protect and prioritise your wellbeing using the 5 Ways to Wellbeing model.
• Explore an evidence-based approach to supporting your own wellbeing and that of your colleagues and the volunteers you work with.
The workshop will also provide an opportunity to connect with other organisations and charities across the region.

This training will be delivered by Waypoint. They have extensive experience designing and delivering training for the voluntary and community sector. Waypoint are experts in approaches to mental wellbeing and resilience and compassion-based approaches. Their work is underpinned by the latest evidence base.
