Social Media Training: How to find the volunteers you need

Event aims

Volunteer engagement is changing – in a Covid world, everything is done online, including how you recruit volunteers.

How do you use twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to expand your volunteer base?

Remembering that every one of your followers on social media is a potential volunteer, there’s an opportunity not to be missed here.

This training will help you:
• Identify what social media platforms to use to promote your organisation
• Learn how to create enticing posts
• Explore ways to tell your organisation’s story to inspire others to come on board

Who should attend?

You might work for a volunteer involving organisation or be a volunteer co-ordinator who wants to use their existing social media skills to connect with potential volunteers.

What will you learn?

Find out how to make the most of LinkedIn, Facebook and twitter to tell your organisation’s story to attract potential volunteers.

The session will look at digital tools such as Bitly and Canva to develop eye-catching posts, and explore the benefits of paid for advertising to reach your audience.

Find out more about engaging with followers by defining your impact and telling the story of how volunteers made a difference to your organisation through social media.
