Who should attend?
This training is ideal for small community groups that are new to applying for grant funding. If you are seeking project funding and don’t know where to start looking then this workshop will help you take that first step.
Please note this training is currently only available to organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire, this excludes the city of York.
What will you learn?
During this training session you will develop your understanding of:
- The range of small grants available to community groups.
- How to identify the need for your project and how to describe it.
- How and where to search for funding.
- Awareness of common mistakes in applications.
- Understand the basics in writing an attractive application
About the trainer
Nicky Smith has 16 years’ experience as a funding advisor, securing funding for many voluntary organisations including village halls, play areas, health and social care groups and youth clubs across North Yorkshire.
