National Lottery Awards for All – Bitesize Funding Workshop

A man is writing a funding application on his laptop.

Event aims

How do you submit an eye-catching, outstanding application and stand out from the crowd to secure that grant?

Our funding expert, Nicky Ruddick, will talk you through the criteria for the National Lottery Awards for All funding programme and the application process. There will be a question and answer session as part of the workshop.

This workshop will help you present your organisation and submit a high quality funding application.

At the end of the session you will:

  • Have a greater knowledge and understanding of lottery funding
  • Increase your chances of securing a lottery grant.

The interactive live workshop will be delivered over Zoom.

Our funding workshops are popular, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Who should attend?

This workshop is suitable for any voluntary or community organisation that is seeking project funding up to £10,000, including village halls, play groups, parish councils, health and social care services, environmental groups and festivals/events.

Please note this training is aimed at organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What will you learn?

Nicky will take you through the steps to submitting a strong Awards for All submission to help you increase your success rate. She will help you:

  • Understand how to increase your chances of submitting a successful lottery application
  • Understand what organisations and projects can be funded
  • Understand how applications are assessed
  • Learn the common reasons for rejection
  • How to consult beneficiaries about the plans and their implementation
  • How to ensure your project is properly costed out
  • Understand how Awards for All can be used to pilot work which can then progress to Reaching Communities applications.
