Maintaining the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Your Volunteers

Event aims

Wellbeing isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. The importance of prioritising your wellbeing and the wellbeing of your volunteers continues to be paramount. This training will provide practice solutions and actions you can put in place to help you avoid burnout and ensure your volunteers feel supported.

This live, interactive training will be delivered over Zoom.

Who should attend?

This session is ideal for trustees and people working in charities and community groups across North Yorkshire and will be of particular benefit to those who have roles co-ordinating volunteers.

Please note this training is currently only available to organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire, this excludes the city of York.

What will you learn?

During this training session you will develop your understanding of:

  • How to have confident conversations about wellbeing at work in order to help others help themselves.
  • A resource to help you master your wellbeing through change and uncertainty.
  • Valuing your health and wellbeing – how your values (or compromising them) impact yours and others’ mental health.
  • Explore a simple model for embracing wellbeing needs, both for you and those you work with.
  • Your unique version of wellbeing – how to get it right for you.

The main training session will finish at 12.30pm. Following this there is an optional 30 minute session in which you can bring forward a wellbeing challenge to explore through an action learning set model. The model will be fully explained and demonstrated.
