Morning Session:
Have you ever wondered what to actually do when confronted with a safeguarding situation? What do you report and what not? How far do you escalate the reporting? Does the Charity Commission need to know?
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility to protect people from harm or abuse. It applies to every charity or community group – not just those who work with children or adults at risk. This training is suitable for trustees/management committee members and/or anyone with a responsibility for the safety of those who come into contact with your organisation, whether they are beneficiaries, volunteers, staff, or visitors.
Join us at Sand Hutton & Claxton Village Hall for this interactive workshop. Participants will be split into groups to explore different scenarios for discussion. There will be plenty of opportunity to raise situations you may have come across. This will develop your confidence in safeguarding matters and ensure you have the necessary skills and organisational procedures for good safeguarding practice.
Afternoon Session: The afternoon will be a networking opportunity to discuss Hate Crime Awareness resources, share good practice and raise any concerns.
