Join this session on 17 December to explore how the NHS and voluntary and community sector can work together to create a more sustainable partnership.
The voluntary and community (VCS) sector play a vital role in supporting communities, providing care and delivering services across health and care. COVID-19 has had a significant financial impact on the VCS. Research by the Institute of Fundraising, NCVO, CFG and PwC shows that 84% of charities reported a decrease in their income. The research, from June 2020, estimated a potential loss of £12.4 billion for charities this year.
The NHS works closely with the VCS, with many VCS organisations delivering services alongside NHS partners. The loss of income to the VCS places considerable pressure on their services and puts vital services that support the NHS, patients and communities at risk. This webinar will explore the impact of COVID-19 on VCS finances, what that means for the services they provide and the impact on the health and care sector. It will also explore how the NHS and VCS can work together to create a more sustainable partnership.
