A Community First Yorkshire event

Community Building and Village Hall network meeting – Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby

Monk Fryston & Hillam Community Centre, Selby

Event aims

Your community building is at the heart of your community. We’re here to help you make the best of this essential asset with our support network.

The aim of the network meeting is to provide a forum for community building and village hall trustees across the Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby Districts of North Yorkshire to network and share information, advice, tips and thoughts on all aspects of running a hall.

What will you learn?

In the first half of the meeting we will consider why it is important to have a written hire agreement which sets out the rights and responsibilities of both the management committee and the hiring person or organisation. We will also look at the Standard Conditions of Hire that should be included in the document.

During the second half of the meeting there will be an opportunity to discuss any issues you are currently facing with other community building and village hall trustees and Community First Yorkshire development officers.

You can pre submit questions for the meeting by emailing them to communitysupport@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk
